Fitness Utah: Get it! The Utah Fitness scene is exploding. There has been an awakening. Have you noticed? From Fitcon Utah to NPC Utah shows to performance centers and gyms, the state has never been more entrenched in fitness. Utah has joined the forefront nationwide in all of the latest tools and resources in the Fitness world.
At FitCon Utah in April, companies from Saint George to Salt Lake flocked to the South Towne Expo Center to put their fitness products, services, and brands on display. We at Utah.Fitness were there to take notice. Standout sponsors from 4Life’s PRO-TF (best display) to Surge Supplements (best booth) lead the way. Pre workouts, proteins, and physique competitions a plenty, but our highlights events were the Ninja Warrior Course, MMA fights, and NPC show to cap it off.
Out of all of the pre workouts we samples, Bucked Up from Deer Antler Spray seemed to be a fan favorite in taste and impact. Cryotherapy seemed to be one of the biggest upswing trends with a couple booths displaying the benefits of this new cold technology in regards to recovery and treatment. Dexa scan also made a splash in the space of technology of the future in fitness utah arenas. The best tasting protein was the aforementioned PRO-TF. Both the vanilla cream and the chocolate were not only delicious, but smooth to match. PRO-TF is a High DH hydrolysate that has substantial scientific data that was as impressive as the display which won an award for best overall presentation.
Gyms like Orange Theory Fitness, Lifetime, The Gym at City Creek, and others vied for the collective attention of the almost 20,000 attendees. Group Fitness seemed to be one of the most prevalent themes with a group session by Shawn T of Beach Body Insanity Fame.
A highly competitive arena in fitness utah communities seems to be food and meal prep companies with the likes of 1% Fitness, HF Meals, Pure Nutrition, and more eagerly ready to serve you their clean eats. Our nod would go to Pure Nutrition whose food was nutritious and delicious both.
Noticeably absent was the presence of the higher caliber trainers for athletes and elite performance. That was actually the biggest fitness utah niche that seemed to not be well represented.
All in all, most anything and everything you could want in the fitness world came together in Sandy, Utah for a weekend. Fitness apparel, fitness supplements, the latest and greatest fitness tools, innovations, and resources took center stage like the NPC Utah and IFBB contestants seeking that validation and trophy. James the Mormon performed his hit song “Motivation” at the Surge Supplements booth and it was a fitting capstone to Fitcon Utah because Utah’s fitness community collectively left feeling highly motivated.
